Startup Guide using iPhone
Setting up your UFO Power Center is very
simple and it takes only a few minutes. Like with a new laptop that
you want to connect to the Internet through your WiFi network, the
UFO Power Center needs to be configured to connect to your network
as well.
Please follow through all the steps described below.
Before you start
| 1. Download the "Energy UFO" application for iPhone from the App
Store. |
2. Have the access information to join your Wi-Fi network: name of the network (SSID), encryption used (None, WEP or WPA/WPA2) and password. |

Troubleshooting
- If after completing the procedure described, and restarting the UFO it does not connect to the Wi-Fi network, it will keep blinking the top green LED. After four minutes of trying to join the Wi-Fi network, it will time out and fallback into "ad-hoc" mode allowing for changing the Wi-Fi parameters restarting from the beginning of this Guide. The UFO has timed out in "ad-hoc" mode when the top LED is flashing yellow.
- If you are sure the Wi-Fi parameters are correct, and the UFO still times out, it may help to move the UFO closer to the access point or router. Sometimes, interferences can limit the range the UFO can be reached.
- If instead the Energy UFO+ application does not detect the UFO at startup, make sure the iPad Wi-Fi settings are correct. That is, that the special "Network" named "VE_UFO_xxxxxx" is selected if you are starting the process or that you have reverted the iPad Wi-Fi configuration to your own Wi-Fi network after connecting to the special "Network" named "VE_UFO_xxxxxx".
